Suburb: A Haven During the Pandemic

The move in the suburb from the city in 2018 has been the most difficult decision.  We were supposed to develop the property in the suburb into a Training and Retreat Center.  However, it did not materialize until now, because a lot happened since 2018.   The first few months of 2018 were exasperating.  We have to go back and forth from the city (to attend to our mother dearest), to the suburb (just to meet the handymen for the repairs).  Last year was our major event, and this year, the pandemic crisis.

The property area is not secluded.  It is not in the middle of nowhere but at the center of two world’s best cities.  The property is just walking distance to commercial areas.  However, I seldom see people walking on the sidewalk, because the minimum lot size in the area is half acre.  Some have their own tennis court, pool and ranch.  I hear more of the birds chirping than people talking or vehicles passing.

There were people who think that living in the suburb is absurd.  Some even belittle the people in the suburb.  Maybe because most people in the suburb are entrepreneurs and farmers than working class.  Maybe because the city represents luxury, while suburb represents simplicity.   Or maybe, people have become materialistic and shallow that they prefer LV than nature’s natural beauty.

At first I regret the decision of moving in the suburb.  Thus, the lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the overwhelming Coronavirus cases in the city made me realize that it is safer and better to stay in the suburb than in the city.

The suburb and rural are haven during the pandemic crisis.  You can just go out and breathe fresh air without worries of polluted and contaminated air.  You see more birds than humans.  You only wear mask when there are people around, but seldom you see people so no need to wear a mask.

What happened to the New Philippines?

In 2016, I made suggestions for the New Philippines from my previous post.  However, the priority of the government has been infrastructure, technology and military rather than education, healthcare and agriculture.

EDUCATION

As I mentioned on my post 8 years ago about the K12 Program, the improvement of education should focus on cost effective programs for teachers and students, and not to add burden by adding more billion dollar infrastructure projects.

It is a must for everyone to learn how to survive alone by: doing household chores; learning to plant and cook your own food from scratch; learning to do first aid; learning to troubleshoot basic glitches; learning to build your own house from scratch using adobe or tree house; learning to sew your own clothes; learning to operate machines and vehicles.  I think these essential skills should be in the curricula.

Moreover, I think that every citizen who lives in an archipelago and in flood prone countries should learn how to swim.  Due to climate change, Ecology should be taught in all levels in K12 as major subject and not just part of Science.

HEALTHCARE

When I was in Egypt 11 years ago, I was amazed of the affordable pharmaceutical products.  I also love the Imtenan health shop where you can buy different flavors of honey and tea.  I was thinking  that I will be able to experience the same in the Philippines.  With the pandemic crisis, I still hope that the government in developing countries will improve the healthcare system by:

1. Conducting further studies on herbal and food medicine that could fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.  I still believe that there’s an herbal medicine that needs to be discovered;
2. Providing cost effective health and wellness programs;
3. Subsidizing the local pharmaceutical products or remove its taxes.
4. Providing quality healthcare for all.

AGRICULTURE

The influx of people living in the city has caused pollution and population explosion.   Despite the abundance of natural resources, I can’t understand the trade deficit.  Why import produce from other countries instead of strengthening the local produce?
Why farmers in the rural areas were striving to send their children to school, so their children can work in the city?

I think the government should support and promote the farmers and entrepreneurs in the rural areas, strengthen the agricultural industry by providing cost effective programs for the farmers and the country.

Mother earth provided us with all the food and medicine we need on earth, we just need to discover, plant, propagate and nurture.

For the Love of Our Best Friend

Dog has been a man’s best friend.  A protector and follower.  A friend who will make you feel secured and protected.  A friend who will give joy and care.  A friend who will be there when you are in despair.

Recently, our neighbor just saved a lost dog roaming around the street.  The dog seemed to be like a German shepherd, scared, and can sense that we care. That is why the dog did not run away, nor show aggressiveness, nor bark, and even followed our neighbor to her house.  How amazing to know how strong their senses are, how they can sense people who care.  For lost dogs, you can check out the Lost Pet Recovery System. 

Whenever I see a dog, it reminds me of the dogs who became part of my life Prixie, Berry, Nera or Cookie (who just died this January).  You can check my previous posts on them by clicking their names.

Dogs are adorable.  They can make you feel secured and protected.  I can vividly remember how we were protected by Nera, a breed of Dobermann and Rottweiler.  She was big and barked loud that made strangers scared to get near our gate.  Yet, Nera was friendly to those who care for her.

If you live alone and lonely, it will be helpful to have a dog.  It was believed that dogs help absorb the negative energy.  They have strong senses.  They can sense love, care, maltreatment and danger.  They were trained to sniff drugs and now to sniff out coronavirus.  They can even sniff out coronavirus far better than machines or tests [1].     There were studies on the benefits of pet therapy for our physical and mental health [2].  You can check out some research findings at Animal-Assisted Therapy Research.

I understand the cravings of meat lovers, which I was brought up to eating meat.  But once you look onto the eyes of a dog, you will sense that they also have emotions, and they will make you feel how helpless they are, that they need humans for them to survive and be protected.  I can’t imagine why people still patronize the Yulin festival.  If you want to help save the dogs and other animals, you can check out the Humane Society International

Survival of the Cleanest

“It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent,

but the one more responsive to change.” – Charles Darwin

A lot are suffering and dying.  A lot are hoarding and panicking. 

A lot are mocking instead of helping. A lot are power tripping and self aggrandizing.

A lot are recovering and surviving.  A lot are praying and hoping.

A lot has changed.

We have no choice but to adjust to the changes to live and survive.  We have to learn to be clean and organized.  We have to learn to be flexible, resourceful and creative to adjust to change.

If you are still alive, survived after the outbreak, and can read this, BE THANKFUL.  You are one of the survivors in this war against the invisible Coronavirus.

In this war, the healthcare workers are on the front line in the battlefield.  They are like the pawns in the chess game.  I can’t understand why they were disregarded, worst they were being ridiculed.  When they are our heroes and deserve love and respect.

In this war, we no longer use an armor, but just a mask.  Yet, a lot of people disregard it, and find it uncomfortable.

Will China’s goal of world denomination lead to prosperity, prophecy or World War 3?

PROPHECY

China is controlled by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) that is officially atheist. Although, no more than 15 percent of adults in the world’s most populous country are “real atheists”. 85 percent of the Chinese either hold some religious beliefs or practice some kind of religion, according to the Chinese Spiritual Life Survey [1].

China’s Communist Party has enforced its anti-religion policy through decades of repression, coercion and persecution [1]. China has the largest open air prison in Xinjiang called the re-education camps where 11 million native people mostly Uyghur, dominated by Muslims were the target [2]. The China’s Communist Party is using the security forces for mass imprisonment of Chinese Muslims in concentration camps, estimating that the number of detained Muslims could be closer to 3 million citizens [3].

Like Tibetans and House Christians, millions of Falun Gong Practitioners are being persecuted in China for their beliefs.  David Kilgour, Former Canadian Secretary of State, called it “A new form of evil in the underworld, it’s never been done by any government in the past to take a large group of its own people and say we are going to kill you without any kind of a trial and we are going to sell your vital organ parts” [4].

President Xi Jinping became the president of China in 2013, and became the president for life in 2018.  By eliminating the two-term limit, Pres. Xi Jinping will ensure that he can stay at the helm beyond 2023 when his second five-year term ends, enabling him to become president for life, if he so chooses.  In political science, a president for life is regarded as a de facto monarch.  Cary Huang mentioned that, “A reliance on the strongman model of leadership poses dangers not only to the Chinese president – but to China itself” [5]. Pres. Xi Jinping wants to force worship of the Communist Party by destroying traditional religious practice.  Buddhist temples are being turned into shrines celebrating Xi Jinping, China’s President For Life. His picture adorns the walls, his recorded voice booms out of the loudspeakers, and it is his “Thought” — not Buddha’s — that the monks are now required to meditate upon [6].

Is Pres. Xi Jinping or the China’s Communist Party goal to world denomination part of the prophecy?  Revelation describes that as the anti-christ and the rest of the unholy trinity will seduce mankind.  Biblical text describes them as 7 vials containing poison of God’s further wrath.  When the angels release the content of the vials, pestilence and disease run wild.  The outbreak revelation describes such a magnified scale that it will dwarf the greatest pandemic crisis the world health crisis would ever faced [7].  Is 2020 the preparation of Isaac Newton’s 2060 prophecy? [8]

WORLD WAR 3

China’s Communist Party had a grand pacific plan in the Pacific, by extending its alliances further south with massive infrastructure by bribing corrupt politicians to be their economic partner with the end result of being their economic master [9].  China’s Communist Party believe that they are supposed to be the rightful leaders of this new global order. They come to the islands with soft power and a lot of cash to buy out local officials to gain access to ports, airfields and resources that give them controlling monopoly of the islands [9].

China’s Communist Party modified the map and included the “nine-dash line,” an ambiguous self-defined borderline, also going by the name “cow’s tongue.”  The nine-dash line contains areas claimed by neighboring countries like Vietnam and the Philippines.  It’s an area which allows China the right to control almost the entire South China Sea, and Beijing wants the world to know about it.  That’s why Beijing has launched an offensive campaign to legitimize and disseminate this map,  printing it on Chinese passports and books, displaying it on movies, and inserting it in GPS and smartphone devices.  But Vietnam has been pushing back hard against Beijing’s campaign, taking the lead among its neighbors (Malaysia & Philippines), in the fight to contain China’s South China Sea ambitions, thru trade war [10].  It banned the showing of Abominable, a film produced by DreamWorks and China, which includes a scene containing a map featuring the “nine-dash line.” [11]

China’s Communist Party claims almost the entire 1.3 million square mile South China Sea as its sovereign territory, and it has aggressively asserted its stake in recent years in the face of conflicting claims from several Southeast Asian nations.  The US has long accused Beijing of militarizing islands via the deployment of military hardware and construction of military facilities [12].  The sinking of a Vietnamese vessel by the Chinese maritime surveillance vessel last week is a tangible reminder of the need to pay attention to the South China Sea flashpoint even amid the focus on COVID-19. [13]

With CCP’s lies and cover-up about the COVID-19 or the coronavirus pandemic [14], American lawyer Larry Klayman and his advocacy group Freedom Watch along with Texas company Buzz Photos have filed the $20 trillion lawsuit, which is a bigger amount than China’s GDP, claiming coronavirus is the result of a biological weapon prepared by the Chinese authorities [15].

War and disease have been linked throughout history as armies, weapons, and human pathogens have met on the battlefield.  The American military experience in World War I and the influenza pandemic were closely intertwined [16].  US Defense Secretary Mark Esper said that the War between two nuclear powers (US & China) is never to be sought and would have grim worldwide consequences [17].  All nuclear powers, the U.S., the UK, France, Russia, China, India, Pakistan, Israel and North Korea, possess small atomic bombs, delivered to the target by airplane or missiles.  The detonation of some hundreds of atomic bombs would cause a nuclear winter, with disastrous impacts on the environment and human food resources.  The ash and dust, transported by the atomic blasts into the higher layers of Earth’s atmosphere, would form a cloud layer, making it impossible for sunlight and heat to reach the surface.  Dropping temperature would plunge Earth into a nuclear winter, maybe for decades or even centuries.  Plants, no longer able to produce nutrients by photosynthesis, would quickly die off, followed by the starving animals and finally humans. [18]

PROSPERITY

China might have achieved its 5-year plan (2016-2020) Prosperity for the masses by 2020 [19].  However, due to China’s deceitful regime [20], economic distancing [20] of their allies, uprising not only in their own country, but also in Hong Kong, Taiwan & Macao might affect its economic and prosperity goal in the succeeding years.

China’s goal of prosperity if driven by greed and atrocity can lead to animal extinction, destruction of natural resources and food resources, and even human extinction.

The lockdown due to COVID-19 or the coronavirus pandemic crisis taught us the importance of nature, clean water, clean air, animals, humanity and spirituality that we  all should preserve and value more, than money, luxury and fake prosperity.
